Grus Canadensis - (alternatively knows as Antigone Canadensis): Sandhill Cranes are large birds that live in open habitats, so they’re fairly easy to spot if you go to the right places. In winter find them in places like Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico or even on Galveston Island in Texas. Their bugling calls are unique and can be heard from miles away, particularly as they form in immense flocks during spring migration in Central Nebraska along the Big Bend of the Platte River valley.
You'll also be easy to spot with this fun and striking, larger 15oz. mug, inspired by the fascinating and ancient birds who form America's last great migration.
Fun Fact - This tee was originally designed for the "Crane Team", a group facilitating ecological educational excursions, as well as, Sandhill Crane behavior programs, workshops, and lectures at nature centers and birding festivals all across America. They loved it so much they thought everyone should have the chance to have one.
